Martin Georgiev is the Chief Executive Officer and a Member of the Board of Directors of Electrohold Trade. He served as Chief Executive Officer of the National Electricity Company (NEK) during the period 2022 – 2025. Prior to that, he was Regional Manager for the Southern Balkans at the Swiss energy company Alpiq and a member of the Board of Directors of a joint venture between Alpiq and Public Power Corporation of Greece. His career also includes consulting work for E.ON Energie Germany related to the restructuring of the company’s business in Bulgaria. Between 2013 and 2022, he was Chairman of the Association of Energy Traders in Bulgaria. Martin Georgiev holds an MBA from the American University in Bulgaria and a Master’s degree from the Technical University of Sofia.
